Bo Gurks

Here at Bo Gurks, we have created a cool bar that is both inviting and cozy, created for both locals and those travelling from afar.

My name is Jarred, a builder by trade and now a bar owner who has always had a dream of opening and owning my own bar, serving amazing food as well as serving and stocking Australian independent craft beer, wine and liquor. The doors to our contemporary bar opened in March this year after a long renovation on a site that was once home to the local dry cleaners.

I have a passion for people, food, great beers and excellent customer service and that is exactly what you will find! As you walk into this bar, you will find a fridge that runs the length of the wall, filled with over 400 independent craft beers. Down the back you will find a bar area with booth style tables and chairs as well as some high tops and high chairs. The walls in the bar area are covered with wall paper depicting Edithvale and the surrounding areas back in the early 20’s.

You will notice a large wood fire pizza oven in the middle of the venue which will very soon by serving pizzas directly to your table!

Where does the name come from? Bo Gurks is a vibe. It is the time spent sitting in the company of new and old friends. Sharing experiences, laughter and tears. A space for sharing good times over the finest craft beers- labels both familiar and unfamiliar, and damn good pizzas. Not to mention the takeaways to keep the good times rolling along….
