Lachie's Walk

Lachie’s Walk

This community walk for kindness is an event open to the public, run by our dear friends at the Lachlan McLaren Foundation.

Join us on Sunday 11 August at 9.30am on the Mentone Grammar oval, Venice Street entrance.

The walk is a lovely 6km loop along the Mentone/Parkdale foreshore walking track, ending up back at the Mentone Grammar Oval where there will be a BBQ, live music, basketball activation, and raffle prizes to raise money for Lachlan’s Legacy.

REGISTER ONLINE TO ATTEND THE WALK WITH US

The Lachlan McLaren Foundation has been created to honour the memory of a very special young man whose life was suddenly and brutally taken from him on his 16th birthday, 15th August 2021. He was a happy, carefree teenager walking his girlfriend home when he was hit and killed by a drugged driver. His final heroic act on this earth was to push his girlfriend out of the way of the out of control car and save her life. Lachlan’s legacy is supporting the local community and families enduring trauma, spreading kindness, and helping people in need.
